Passion for Yoga
I've been drawn to yoga since 1998, inspired by my partner who was fervently doing sun salutations.
I remember practicing out of a library book next to my bed at my parents' house. There were simply no yoga studios to be found at that time in my area in Belgium! Not easy to maintain a regular practice...
Living in the Amsterdam area in 2008 I finally signed up for weekly yoga and I was hooked.
I was a middle school language teacher for many years, but in 2018 I felt it was time for change, time to learn and grow... and start sharing the 'language' of Yoga!
Trying different classes, styles and studios in Stockholm, I found a wonderful studio where I trained to become a 200h Certified Yoga Teacher by the end of 2019.
With the experience of the benefits of pranayama, my interest and curiosity in the practice of breath regulation, as an exercise for physical and mental wellness, grew even more!
I became a Certified Breathing Coach (YACEP) in 2020, which allows me to share breathing techniques as tools for self-care, and a Certified Flexibility Yoga Teacher (YACEP) in 2021, for targeted mobility and flexibility.
Also in 2021 I completed The Vagus Nerve Program, an 8 week in-depth course about nervous system regulation, with an innovative approach to learning based on the latest research on neuroplasticity.
In 2022 I completed a 25-hour 'Form & Flow' Vinyasa Training.
In 2024 I became a Certified Restorative Yoga Teacher (YACEP).
Grateful for all inspiring teachers, past and present, and excited to continue to learn on the yogic path, I am now thrilled to share with you the joy that yoga brings!
